Andy Chapman joined ECS in 2024 and is approaching his two-year milestone as Sales Manager. He leads and supports the sales team, and he is often involved from the first conversation through to handover. The aim is simple. Make sure the job is properly understood from the start, so delivery can run smoothly.

From the beginning, Andy was struck by the pace and energy of the business. “There is a strong sense of momentum across ECS,” he says. “Teams are highly engaged, collaborative, and focused on delivering results.”

Two years on, a big part of his role is turning what a client needs into clear next steps for the delivery team. He keeps things joined up and moving, and he stays on top of the systems and ways of working at ECS so clients get clear answers and the right support.

One of the key strengths he highlights is the way the business communicates internally. “Our centralised communication platform keeps everything aligned and running efficiently,” Andy explains. “It might not be visible to clients, but it plays a big role in keeping things coordinated and on track.”

Andy is also a strong advocate for the way technology is embedded across the business, with systems and tools continuously evolving in the background to support how teams work. “It’s the evolution of technology that helps us work smarter, stay efficient, and keep momentum.”

While sales is often seen as a front-facing role, Andy is clear that much of the value sits behind the scenes. “The results are what people see, but the real work is in building relationships, understanding client needs, and shaping the right solutions.”

Two years on, Andy continues to focus on what matters. Understanding what the client needs, putting the right solution in place, and getting the job delivered properly.
